Application level visibility
WysDM measures and manages at the application level to minimise exposure, allowing administrators to individualise recovery point objectives, time to recovery, chargeback and service levels.
Supports a wide range of backup applications
WysDM for Backups integrates flawlessly with all major backup applications including EMC/Legato NetWorker, HP DataProtector, IBM Tivoli Storage Manager, Symantec Veritas BackupExec and Symantec Veritas NetBackup.
Supports non-traditional backup applications
WysDM for Backups supports non-traditional backup applications such as NetApp's SnapVault and Oracle's Recovery Manager to ensure full coverage of the data protection environment. Additional backup applications and methods can be integrated into WysDM using their openly available XML API.
Reduces risk
WysDM for Backups maps jobs to backup media, which greatly reduces risk and enforces storage protection policies. WysDM also tracks open files that were not backed up.
