Overview

SANs designed using best-practice principles will have redundancy built-in to maintain high levels of availability. However, the effectiveness of these features is dependent on the IT operations team responding to alerts and error logs. If these are overlooked then the SAN may continue to function but the benefit of redundant components is removed and the SAN is exposed to a single point of failure.

StorageMonitor is Tectrade's Level 3 support offering, which monitors essential aspects of the SAN on a daily basis. Critically, there are a series of heartbeat monitors that identify any redundant items that have suffered a loss of service. Any issues that are highlighted from the monitoring process are logged as issues on Tectrade's Service Desk.
