SVC - What's new in SAN Volume Controller V4.2
Updates previously available copy service functions by enabling multi-target
FlashCopyĆ capabilities. Up to 16 target FlashCopy images can be created from a single source,
providing greater flexibility for supporting business continuity and simultaneous use of data for
multiple actions. You can also get a higher number of active FlashCopy relationships at the cluster level.
In addition, per I/O group limits for FlashCopy and Remote Copy are more than doubled.
Adds two new user roles, with different subsets of access permissions, giving greater flexibility in allocating cluster access and management authorization.
Is designed for substantially improved cluster performance, especially when installed on the new IBM System Storage SAN Volume Controller 2145-8G4 Storage Engines.
